Digital Wellness - Parent Survey

Posted Date: 09/25/26 (02:30 PM)

Dear WB Families,

Earlier this month, we reached out to share our district’s commitment to promoting holistic student wellness through a balanced, intentional approach to technology. While digital tools offer rich educational opportunities, maintaining healthy boundaries around screen time is vital to supporting our students' sleep quality, physical health, social connections, and emotional well-being.

We have completed our initial week of adjusted Chromebook accessibility hours across the district to help promote age-appropriate digital boundaries. As a reminder, district-issued Chromebooks remain accessible for instructional purposes according to the following schedule:

  • Elementary School Students: Accessible until 9:00 PM

  • Junior High School Students: Accessible until 10:00 PM

  • Senior High School Students: Accessible until 11:59 PM

  • All devices are fully back on at 5:00 AM.

As part of this initiative, we are gathering feedback from our students, teachers, and parents/ guardians. Please take a few minutes to share your reflections by completing our Parent Survey by Friday, October 2nd.

The feedback collected from parents, students, and staff will directly guide our ongoing conversations with district leadership and committees throughout the school year as we evaluate device usage, refine in-school practices, and recommend resources for families and educators to support healthy, balanced digital environments.

Thank you for your time and continued partnership, dedication, and shared commitment to supporting the overall health and success of our students—academically, socially, physically, and emotionally.

Warm regards,

Dr. Yiendhy Farrelly
